Graffiti Competition for Youths

In conjunction with the 'World No Tabacco Day 2006' on 31 May, the Health Promotion Board of Singapore has organised a Graffiti Competition for the youths of Singapore. The theme of this competition is 'A Smoke-Free Nation' and it aims to provide a platform for the young to reflect on the benefits of a smoke-free life style and their role in building a smoke-free environment.

Trees for thoughts

Assignment due on Friday 30 June 2006
- Pupils are required to hand in a brief research of at least five pages on the trees by the coming Friday.
- All works handed in must be neatly filed in any A4 size file of your choice.
- Please make references from the sources if you need to copy anything for your research.

Movie Review (Over the Hedge)

'Over the hedge' is one of the top favourites in my to-watch movie list this holiday. After watching this animated comedy, I am really convinced that it is worth spending all my dollars and time on the it. Though constantly tinkling the funny bones of the audiences, this comedy has itself being embedded by various educational subject matters related to family values and and the environment.



My favourite character in the show is RJ who was sandwiched between the good and evil;- trying to make a choice of manipulating his new found 'family' members and to be part of them. RJ can be a good representation of youths trying to make decisions at different stages of their lives. It is no doubt difficult to make a good choice most of the times but like RJ, I believe that most of the youths can utimately make a good choice.

This movie deserved a four stars rating. ( a must watch holiday movie and don't forget your pop corn).
